Permission

Who signs this one?

You've been waiting for it.

Maybe longer than you know.

For someone to say it plainly: you're allowed to want this.

Early in the climb, permission had a face. A parent. A teacher. A boss who could open a door or hold it shut.

You climbed past them.

The board? The market? The people who love you and are watching what you actually do?

They can bless it. It's not theirs to grant.

Permission now comes from somewhere else.

From the view. You climbed high enough to see, and the view is permission to feel what you've already been feeling.

From what's calling. Because it wouldn't keep calling, if it wasn't yours.

The version of you already living it isn't waiting for a signature.

Who signed years ago.

Reading this isn't permission either.
